SECTION 6

CLOSED LEAGUES

A. SANCTIONS

  1. Meets shall be sanctioned by SNS in accordance with Section l.D. Sanction applications shall be requested from the SNS Sanction Coordinator.
  2. Dual Meets - Submit one blanket application to cover sanctions for all scheduled dual meets with one copy of the schedule and one copy of the list of events to the Sanctions Coordinator.
  3. Championship meets - Submit separate application for a sanction With one copy of the meet information sheet.
  4. Member leagues which charge an entry fee either by clubs or by individual swimmers shall be charged a fee of ten dollars ($10) per day for the sanction of the championship meet.
  5. Dates of league championships must be approved by SNS.
  6. The proposed meet sheet, upon submission to the Sanctions Coordinator, shall not be subject to revision or interpretation as long as it is in compliance with all other rules as stated in Section 6 of this swim guide.

B. AGE GROUPS

In Closed League swimming meets swimmers must compete within the age groups specified in Sect. l.B.l.a, c, and d.

C. ELIGIBILITY

The following national swimming rules must be enforced in order for times to be recognized for National 16 Best Times tabulation.

  1. The eligibility of a participant for a particular age group will be determined by his date of birth.
  2. Age on the first day of the meet shall govern for the full meet.
  3. Participants must swim in their respective age brackets.
  4. In 50 meter pools, all record times for 50 meter distances must be achieved with fully automatic or semi-automatic timing equipment.

D. SUBMISSION OF TIMES

A complete set of results and timers' cards for all times which equal or better SNRT in closed league meets, dual meets, league championships, etc. must be sent to the Records Secretary within 10 days after holding the meet.
